Poha for which English name is Flattened Rice/Beaten Rice, easily digestible form of raw rice is very popular across India. Normally used to prepare snacks or light and easy fast food in a variety of Indian cuisine.

Ingredients
- Thick Poha – 2 cup (200 grams)
- Oil – for cooking
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tea spoon
- Mustered seeds – 1/2 tea spoon
- Curry leaves – 1 string
- Green Chilies (chopped) – 3-4 numbers
- Onion (chopped) – 1 number
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tea spoon
- Peanuts – 1 table spoon
- Coriander leaves (chopped) – 1 table spoon
- Coconut (fresh and grated) – 1 table spoon (optional)
- Lemon (juice) – 1 /2 lemon
- Salt – to taste
- Sugar – to taste
Instructions
- Wash the Poha 1 or 2 times and drain the excess water, keep aside.
- Heat oil in kadhai fry peanuts and keep them aside.
- Now in the same heated oil add mustard and cumin seeds, curry leaves, chopped green chillies and saute for 1 minute.
- Add chopped onion and saute it on medium heat till onion becomes translucent.
- Now add turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add soaked poha and mix all the ingredients after that add salt, sugar an dfried peanuts and again mix everything properly.
- Finally garnsh with chopped coriander leaves and grated fresh coconut (coconut is optional).
- Serve hot with lemon slice.
