Ingredients
- Tomatoes – 3 numbers
- Cumin seeds – 1 tea spoon
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tea spoon
- Salt – to taste
- Jaggery or sugar – 1 tea spoon (as per requirement)
- Coconut – 1 inch
- Garlic – 3 to 4 cloves
- Curry leaves – 1 string
- Green chillis – 2 numbers OR Red chilli powder – 1 tea spoon (as per choice)
- Coriender leaves (chopped) – 1 table spoon
- Oil – 1/2 table spoon (for tadka)
Instructions
- In a grinder grind all ingredients like tomato, garlic, green chili or red chili powder, coconut, 1/2 Coriander leaves(keep half for garnishing), 1/2 cumin seed (keep half cumin seed for tadka)
- For tadka heat oil in a pan add cumin seed, curry leaves and tomato paste.
- Add salt as per taste, jaggery, turmeric powder and mix well.
- Now cook it for 5-7 minutes on low flame.
- And seasoned with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot as a soup or can be added in the main menu.
